New Groups at Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group for Fall 2016
New groups are starting for children, adolescents and young adults this fall at Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group in Charlotte and at Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group of the Carolinas in Lake Norman. All groups are led by Laurie Nappier, MSW, LCSW.
Groups are a tried and true way to belong, share, learn and grow in a supportive environment. Discussion, games, role play and other creative activities will be used to facilitate growth in self esteem, communication and social skills, and other areas.
Participants may be asked to meet individually with Ms. Nappier prior to joining a group to ensure appropriateness. Participants will be asked to commit to a minimum of four sessions at a time.
At Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group in Charlotte:
High School Girls: Every other Monday (beginning 9/12) at 4 pm
With a focus on anxiety, social skills, transition into high school, and academic struggles.
Middle School Girls: Every other Monday (beginning 9/19) at 4 pm
With a focus on anxiety, depression, relationships, and social dynamics.
Young Adult Women: Weekly on Tuesdays (beginning 9/6) at 11 am
With a focus on adjusting to college, work, and adult life.
Boys And Girls Grades 3-5: Weekly on Tuesdays (beginning 9/6) at 4 pm
With a focus on anxiety and social skills. Kids will learn conflict resolution, empathy, and social skills through games and role play.
High School Girls: Weekly on Tuesdays (beginning 9/6) at 5 pm
With a focus on depression, body image, self esteem, and social dynamics/drama.
Insurance may cover groups at Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group in Charlotte. If not, groups are $50 per session. Please call 704-362-2663 to sign up.
Middle School Girls: Every other Thursday (beginning 8/25) at 3:30 pm

Autism Spectrum Boys 9-12 years: Every other Thursday (beginning 8/25) at 4:30 pm
With a focus on anxiety and social skills. Kids will learn conflict resolution, empathy and social skills through games and role play.
High School Girls: Every other Thursday (beginning 9/1) at 3:30 pm
With a focus on anxiety, depression, self esteem and social dynamics/drama.
Girls 9-12 years: Every other Thursday (beginning 9/1) at 4:30 pm
With a focus on anxiety and social skills. Kids will learn assertiveness, conflict resolution, empathy and social skills through games and role play.
