General Information

 

  • Please note that the following information represents answers to the most common questions about the practice, but is not intended as a comprehensive list of our policies and procedures.   

  • The office is generally open from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

  • The main phone number for the office is 704-362-2663.

  • The office will be closed to observe major holidays.  

  • In case of inclement weather, closings will be announced on WBTV, WSOC, and on the news page of this website.

 

Scheduling Information for New Patients

 

  • Please call our scheduling coordinator at 704-362-2663, extension 165, to schedule an appointment as a new patient.

  • Please be aware that not all clinicians may be accepting new patients.

  • Initial evaluation appointments with an M.D. or Nurse Practitioner may last from 45 to 80 minutes, depending on clinician preference.  

  • Initial appointments with a Psychologist or Therapist last approximately 60 minutes.

  • If the patient is a minor (under 18), both the child and a parent/guardian must be present for the initial evaluation appointment.

  • Please bring any prior records or reports that you think may be helpful to your clinician to your initial appointment, especially any psychological/educational evaluations.    

  • Please arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to your scheduled initial appointment and check in at the front desk in order to complete new patient paperwork.  You may print out these forms below, fill them out, and bring them to your initial appointment to expedite the process.  If you do complete the paperwork beforehand, you need only arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment.

 

Insurance Information for New Patients

 

  • Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group is in network with many of the major insurers in the region.  You will need to check with our scheduling coordinator to confirm that we are in network with your insurer. 

  • Even if you believe that Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group is in network with your insurer, we recommend that you call your insurer to confirm this and to "pre-authorize" your treatment prior to arriving for your first appointment.

  • To expedite the check in process at your initial appointment, you can download, print, and fill out some of our forms.

  • After filling out your new patient paperwork, you may email them to us at newpatient@eastpsych.com.  Please note that this email address is only to be used for sending in your paperwork and is not continuously monitored.  

 

Scheduling Information for Established Patients

 

  • Please call our scheduling coordinator at 704-362-2663, extension 122, to schedule an appointment as an established patient.

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment and check in at the front desk.  If you need to update any insurance or demographic (address, phone number, etc.) information, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.  

  • Follow up appointments with an M.D. or Nurse Practitioner are generally scheduled for 15-20 minutes, longer as necessary.  

  • Follow up appointments with a Psychologist or Therapist are generally scheduled for 45-60 minutes.  

  • If the patient is a minor (under 18) they must be present for the appointment.  If you wish to schedule a parent or family-only session, please discuss it with your clinician.  

  • Please call at least 24 hours prior if you need to cancel an appointment.  Missed appointments and late cancellations are subject to charges.

  • Please note that if you arrive late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. 

 

Prescription Refills and Clinical Questions

 

  • Please call us at 704-362-2663, extension 137 to request prescription refills.

  • Please note that prescriptions for some controlled substances must be written by your psychiatrist or nurse practitioner (as opposed to called in).  Such refills are subject to charges.  These prescriptions may be picked up at the office or mailed to you, at your preference.

  • If you are having issues with insurance coverage of your prescriptions, including needing "prior authorization", please call our medical assistant at 704-362-2663, extension 145.  

  • For clinical questions, including medication response and side effect concerns, please call our nurse at 704-362-2663, extension 154.  

 

Miscellaneous

 

  • For medical records requests, including needing forms filled out or letters written, please call 704-362-2663, extension 167. Please be aware that these services are subject to charges.  

  • For billing questions, please call the business office at 704-362-2663, extension 166.
