Eastover Psychiatric Group is pleased to announce that Ross Masters, M.D. will be joining the group this September.
Dr. Masters earned his undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and his M.D. at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He then completed his residency in General Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training.
While at Vanderbilt, he received training in all psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, substance use disorders, and psychosis. He also received training in multiple therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. He particularly enjoys utilizing a combination of medication and psychotherapy techniques to help people navigate anxiety, residual effects of trauma, and difficult life transitions.
Dr. Masters was a paramedic before going to medical school, and so has a unique vantage when it comes to helping first responders (EMS, police, firefighters) navigate the challenges of their profession.
Dr. Masters grew up in Lumberton, NC and moved to Charlotte in 2026. In his free time he enjoys running, reading sci-fi, and traveling.
